Me in 3 words: Passionate | Driven | Talkative

My Dad and my beautiful girls are my inspiration. As a mum I want them both to always have the confidence to ‘go for it’ achieve their dreams, believe that no obstacle can stand in the way of progress and to do a job they love as much as I do.

Midwife to gym owner! How it all started …

I’m not a risk taker or so I thought!

I’m just someone who loves to nurture others find easy solutions to staying fit, healthy and strong, both in body and mind.

My own personal journey, allows me to share the methods that worked for me many years ago when I found myself overweight, unfit and unhappy. And, although nutrition and fitness methods and strategies have changed with research, the key to my maintenance success and the success of my clients remains the same.

✅ Desire to change

✅ Motivation to learn

✅ Support

✅ Consistent effort

✅ Results

✅ Freedom of choice

✅ Personal growth

✅ Adaptability

✅ Desire to maintain

I want everyone to feel empowered, able to choose their own pathway, find exercise they love and eat food without guilt.

So 3 years ago, this non risk taker walked into a gym to buy a treadmill and walked out the NEW owner!

When faced with an option to grow and be able to offer my clients a better service, I jumped at the chance. Even though this was a huge step and in my head questions of how I was going to juggle being a single mum to two teens, a carer for my dad and build a business at the same time!

It was scary but inside I knew that it would work and if I didn’t take a leap of faith I would regret it. For years I’d worked from church halls, a small studio in Lodge Moor and parks and had built up a wonderful group of clients, many of whom I call friends. With their support their referrals and their excitement of moving to new bigger premises I was confident that my clients would continue to trust me and that I would make Kate Campbell Fitness a success. I also had an amazing talented and experienced group of trainers Shannon Carla and Lauren, who were as excited as me to support more clients.

I’m therefore delighted that I took the risk and that my dream of having a one stop shop catering for everyone at any stage of their fitness journey has come true.

The Small gym with a BIG heart is my brand soul essence and one even at this challenging time is my passion.

With over 20 years’ experience in the NHS and a fitness career spanning over 14 years, my working life has been dedicated to helping others.

Many people ask the question why I left Midwifery? The career I had wanted to do from the age of 11 when I’d watched a series with Miriam Stoppard, following women and their families through a 9 month journey.

The honest answer is I love being my own boss, setting my own schedule and being able to give 1-1 support for longer than I could in Midwifery. Now with the help of my team, we get to support people for longer with what we have to offer at Kate Campbell Fitness.

And the truth is I’ve not really left … I specialise in pregnancy and postnatal fitness and wellbeing.
