Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organisation. COVID-19 is contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, local governments and government health agencies recommend social distancing.

Kate Campbell Fitness has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, Kate Campbell Fitness cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending Kate Campbell Fitness could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

You acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending Kate Campbell Fitness and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. You understand as he participant that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Kate Campbell Fitness may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, Kate Campbell Fitness employees, volunteers, and programme participants and their families.

As the participant you voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to yourself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that you may experience or incur in connection with my attendance at Kate Campbell Fitness. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Kate Campbell Fitness employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Kate Campbell Fitness, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Kate Campbell Fitness programme.

Kate Campbell Fitness reserves the right to update and change this waiver in line with Government policies

Members Rules

Kate Campbell Fitness sets and maintains the Rules and regulations to make sure that using our gym is as safe and enjoyable an experience as we can make it for all of our members and drop in members.

Kate Campbell Fitness reserves the right to amend these rules from time to time, and have done so recently to reflect our new processes and procedures around Covid-19

We are playing our part

  • We’re carefully monitoring the situation and taking guidance from Public Health partners

  • We're checking daily updates from the Government.

  • We have provided staff with additional training and information on the situation.

  • We have created a booking in system to ensure limited numbers are on the gym floor at anyone time.

  • We will continue with online classes until such time as we can safely return to studio classes.

  • We've increased are cleaning hours and doubled the checks around our facility.

  • We're providing extra stocks of hand wash and sanitiser for the public and staff.

  • We're providing extra blue roll and disinfectant sprays in the gyms and studios.

  • We've displayed additional signage reminding customers to wash their hands and clean equipment after use.

  • As staff we will be wearing masks during our 1-1 sessions

As members, How can you help?

  • Book sessions online via glofox app and or ring the gym and we’ll book for you

  • Clean equipment with the sanitiser spray and paper towels provided before you use the equipment when you have finished using it.

  • Replace equipment back onto the racks after you have finished with it and after you have cleaned it.

  • Train alone so not to breach social distancing guidelines.

  • If you are feeling unwell and present with any of the Covid-19 symptoms please do not attend the session

  • If anyone contracts the virus please inform Track and trace who will give you guidance

  • Contact Kate Campbell Fitness if you or your family members are diagnosed with covid

  • Follow staff members’ instructions and directions, especially in relation to social distancing measures

  • Not train with any other members in a way that will not allow you to remain socially distant.

  • Follow the gyms social distancing guidelines to keep apart from other members and staff throughout your visit.

  • Use the cleaning products, including hand sanitiser as provided.

  • Cover over your mouth when you cough using a tissue or the bend of your elbow

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water whilst in the Gym.

  • Avoid touching other people, and that includes handshakes.

  • Attend the gym ready to exercise.

  • Carry and use a sweat towel for personal use only and not to wipe equipment. Please use the dedicated cleaning stations for wiping down equipment after you have used it.

  • If you are unwell, symptomatic or have tested positive for coronavirus, do not attend the gym. You must follow government regulation on isolating for a minimum period of time, and only return after this minimum period if you are feeling well again.

  • Leave the premises before closing time.

  • Complete your online registration and screenings forms

  • Not take bags onto the gym floor.

  • Not make or receive phone calls on the gym floor.

  • Not take photographs or videos on the premises or post remarks or imagery to the internet that could identify another Member.

  • Not drop or throw weights down on the floor anywhere in the gym.

  • Not leave your belongings in a locker when you are not on the premises

  • Use a locker to store your belongings when you are exercising. Use of a padlock is strongly advised.

  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear when exercising (denim, bare feet, flip-flops, boots or a bare torso are amongst the range of clothing choices that is unsuitable). Any member not wearing suitable attire may be asked to leave the gym at the discretion of the team.

  • Use the gym facilities and equipment in a proper manner and not in a way that might cause harm to yourself or others (just ask a member of staff if you are unsure).

  • Not engage in any exercise activity that may be potentially harmful to you or others (this includes contact sports and boxing unless this is with one of our Personal Trainers).

  • Not use, block or interfere with fire, emergency or disabled access doors or alarms (except in a genuine emergency).

  • Do not tamper with fire extinguishers.

  • Not behave in an aggressive, abusive, intimidating, anti-social or threatening manner or in a way that might cause distress to staff or Members.

  • Not conduct any Personal Training business with other Members.

  • Come and go quietly so as not to disturb our neighbours.

  • Use any parking facilities provided in accordance with the rules Kate Campbell Fitness has 4 allocated spaces.

  • Put your litter in the correct bin

  • Not use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, tranquilisers or make use of any other medical substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely on our premises. The Gym reserves the right to remove you from the premises if it reasonably believes you are unfit to use the facilities.

  • Not engage in any type of criminal behaviour whilst on our premises.

  • Not cause damage to the premises, our or another Member's property.

  • Not eat on the gym floor.

A copy of the gym rules will be displayed within the facilities

Outdoor Fitness

  • We have created a course to ensure limited numbers attend and all participants bookings are registered.

  • We have developed a body weight and Cardiovascular programme that will ensure participants remain socially distanced at all times - no equipment will be shared.

  • Our risk assessment is updated

As members, How can you help?

  • Book your course online through the glofox app.

  • Bring your own hand sanitiser, towel and water bottle - Gloves recommended.

  • Leave valuables at home - Keys and phones will not be collected ( Bring your own plastic bag which you can leave under your cone)

  • Please ensure that you keep 2 meters distance from all other participants and public before the session starts and after (staggered)

  • Please ensure that you keep 2 meters distance from other participants

  • Avoid touching other people, and that includes handshakes. Sadly no Hi fives this year!

  • If working in groups of 6 stay within your group there should be no crossover

  • Please always give the public right of way when running and training in the park.

  • Advisable if you know your children cannot social distance safely, please leave them at home.

  • Please make sure as you are leaving the session you have everything that you brought with you. Make sure you stagger leaving with other participants to ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to.

  • If you are feeling unwell and present with any of the Covid-19 symptoms please do not attend the session

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth

  • Cover over your mouth when you cough using a tissue or the bend of your elbow

  • Seek medical care early if you have a fever, coughs, and difficulty breathing—but call 111 first

  • If anyone contracts the virus, track and trace will alert Kate Campbell Fitness if a breach of the 2 meter rule was breached. THEREFORE PLEASE KEEP YOUR DISTANCE
