Antenatal Exercise class and skills for birth
Each week Antenatal Fitness and Skills for Birth class supports your journey throughout pregnancy and beyond.
Our classes are gym based - Led by former Midwife of 20 years, Personal trainer, antenatal and postnatal specialist Kate Campbell. YOU KNOW you are in safe hands.
Attend from 13 weeks Throughout the weekly sessions the focus is on:
*Building strength in areas that often become weak during pregnancy.
*Maintaining fitness through various strength activities.
*Connecting the key areas through breathing, movement and balance.
*Pelvic Floor visualisations
*Maintaining flexibility
*Relaxation
Skills for Birth an added bonus... focus on massage demonstrations, breathing skills, movement strategies, breastfeeding discussions labour preparation and a chat.
You will gain valuable skills to support not only your pregnancy and labour but also the early postnatal period.
Join our friendly group for friendship and support - Guidelines accompany the course.
Although not essential you may want to consider purchasing some small equipment:

Postnatal Foundation Course

Expert coaches support your safe return to fitness and built a strong foundation on which you will progress and get back to the sport you love.
This 6 week course runs to enable you to progress your fitness after birth so that you can engage confidently with more strenuous exercise such as postnatal power, low impact circuits and buggy bootcamp.

Postnatal Power
Postnatal (level 2) ONLINE
Following on from the (foundation) course, this class is split into 3 main areas of progression: Flexibility, Movement and Strength (and aerobic/ cardio training).
This 30 min class is designed to increase your strength before moving on to higher impact exercise.

If you have a mini resistance band the type that goes around your legs bring one to your sessions.
If not we have available difference strengths you can purchase for £5

Buggy Bootcamp is a great way to exercise with your babies.
Join the fun for a variety of safe progressive exercises to increase your fitness

During the sessions you will learn to progress exercise safely and effectively.
At No point will you be pushed to the MAX!

A typical session may consist of:
Warm up incorporating general mobility walking then progressing into a fast walk / slow jog with the prams,
Main section will concentrate on technique body weight exercises core work to enhance strength and improve muscle recruitment.
Pelvic floor and abdominal exercises will be included as well as flexibility and individual coaching.
Keep Mums Fit Buggy Boot camp is fun and never boring!
If it rains we still train! Ensure you are dressed suitably and have a cover for your pram. We head around the park rather than stay on the grass and perform exercises as we go, using resistance bands and small equipment.
Guaranteed …we’ll motivate, encourage, and support you to reach your full potential. Attend one or both sessions each week.
