About the course

The Postnatal Foundation course is a progressive Postnatal Programme which you can join from 6 weeks post-birth following a vaginal delivery and if you have had a C\S you may wish to wait until you are 8 weeks post birth.

PLEASE NOTE: You can attend at any stage of your postnatal journey whether your baby is 6 weeks, 6 months or a year.

Having a progressive core restore, strength, CV fitness and pelvic floor programme will benefit many and for those women who join later it maybe because you have commenced general fitness classes and have begun to notice a few niggles! common symptoms including pelvic pain, weakness, heaviness or leakage.

If this is you then you are more than welcome to attend. Often all it takes is rebuilding the foundation, going back to basics to enable you to move forward, progress and re-build strength.

What to expect

Join other mums each week at the gym along with your baby and begin your journey.

The exercise session will be 45 minutes to an hour long and we begin with mobility, postural corrective exercises and pelvic floor rehabilitation before progressing on to strength and conditioning, multi directional moves and eventually dynamic locomotive exercises. You will have full use of the gym and time after the session to chat to other mums.

During the 6 weeks you’ll learn how to:

💞 Assess your abdominal tone, tension and check for diastasis

💞 Re-establish postural alignment

💞 Restore balance through movement strength and fitness training

💞 Reconnect breathing, pelvic floor, back and abdominals to regain strength

💞 Rediscover the value of nutrition to aid postnatal recovery

At the end of the session you’ll get a chance to chat to the other mums swap numbers and build a strong friendship support network.

Keep Mums Fit girls are friends for life and many of my previous clients are still in contact with the girls they met at Keep Mums Fit classes.

As part of the programme you’ll receive helpful nutrition and workout guides, email support.

If you have not done so already head over to Keep Mums Fit Facebook page like and turn on notifications we regularly post to keep you updated and add videos to support your progress.

Cassie Contacted me for an early assessment before she started the six week postnatal foundation course. Three weeks in she emailed me so excited by her progress.

Every week I look forward to hearing my mum’s wins, it’s such an important part of the programme and a constant reminder of the positive physical and mental impact our classes have on our Keep mums fit girls.
