Set Smart Goals and an End date
As personal trainers we all sing from the same hymn sheet – we all want to help our clients achieve their goals.
The difference between trainers is how we support guide and motivate our clients to achieve.
My strong belief and the philosophy I have instilled amongst my team is ‘listening is essential’ and ‘knowledge is power’
The more we listen to our clients health goals and fitness aims the more we can support them achieve, gain valuable knowledge along the way and ultimately set goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time focused.
Writing these down, will provide a greater insight in to individual goals for both trainer and the client, providing the foundation of a carefully tailored actionable plan and programme.
After all, ‘A Goal without a plan is just a wish’
If you take the time to plan your specific goals at the beginning of your journey, you will be able to see the necessary steps it will take to make your goal a reality.
Specific – Be specific what exactly is it you want to achieve? Don’t be fluffy just be honest.
Measurable - You need to be able to track progress and measure the outcome
Attainable - Your goal must be achievable, what steps will you take to accomplish and reach your goal
Realistic - your goal should be challenging but realistic and relevant
Time – Set an end date of when you want to achieve you goal
Each and everyone one of you is unique apply these SMART goals and methods and with the support of Kate and The Kate Campbell Fitness team the results will follow.
