A Challenge To Mark Balance Awareness Week

I challenge you to test your balance this week to mark Balance Awareness Week!

Balance needs to be trained to increase the speed from your body to your brain and back again.

1. Whilst the kettle boils for your morning cuppa have a go at closing your eyes and standing on one leg. See if you can get to 30 seconds on each leg.

2. While you clean your teeth stand on a folded towel and go on to your tip toes 10 times.

Pilates improves core strength and control which allows for enhanced static and dynamic balance control.

My Monday morning Move Well Pilates is suitable for everyone including postnatal ladies who need to improve their balance for juggling their little ones and getting used to their new centre of gravity without a bump to older adults to reduce the risk of falls.
